How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can benefit anyone seeking personal growth, clarity, or emotional support. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or simply want a safe space to process life’s challenges, therapy can be a helpful next step.

How much does therapy cost?

Session fees vary depending on the type of service and duration.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

Yes — I offer both in-person sessions at my office and virtual sessions through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You can choose whichever option feels most comfortable for you.

What if I’ve never been to therapy before?

That’s completely okay! Many clients are new to therapy. My role is to guide you through the process at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive. There’s no “right” way to start—just showing up is the first step.

What ages do you work with?

I work with ages 5 to 55. If you’re unsure whether therapy is appropriate for you or your child, I’d be happy to discuss your options.

What can I expect during my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and what you hope to gain from the process. I’ll also share information about my approach and answer any questions you may have. Together, we’ll create a plan that fits your unique needs.

 How long are sessions?

Individual therapy sessions are typically 55 minutes. Longer or shorter sessions may be arranged depending on your needs.

Do you take insurance?

Yes, I currently accept [insert insurance providers, e.g., BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Cigna, etc.]. For those paying out of pocket, I also offer self-pay options.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is protected by law. Everything we discuss in therapy is confidential, with a few exceptions related to safety or legal obligations (which I’ll review with you during our first session)

What’s your therapeutic style?

Clients often describe my style as warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I believe in creating a supportive space where you can feel heard, validated, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

How often will we meet?

Most clients start with biweekly sessions to build consistency and momentum. As progress is made, sessions may move to biweekly or monthly—whatever best supports your growth.

What approaches do you use?

I use an integrative, evidence-based approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. My goal is to create a warm and collaborative environment that fosters meaningful change.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Missed appointments or late cancellations may result in a no-show fee.

Do you work with couples or families?

Yes — I offer both individual and relationship-based therapy, depending on your needs. We can discuss which format might be the best fit during your consultation.
